Research & Project Experiences

• Masters Project
Title: EXPENSE TOOLKIT – An android based application for expense management.
Brief: It enables users to keep track of their expenses. It will help to keep off the daily, monthly or yearly extra expenses. Expenses can be classified and organized according to one’s will. It has an easy calculation system, currency converter, discount calculator. Receipts can be easily stored and retrieve when needed. Expense Toolkit application will generate a report for each category at the end of the month to show Income-Expense. There is also a Bar Chart Option and Category Wise Pie Chart in which all categories will show as a graph. It will also notify safe range of expenses. This app can be used without the internet.

• Bachelor Project
Title: Design & Implementation of Intelligent Independent Street Lighting (IISL).
Brief: Depending on the frequency of beneficiaries, an algorithm was developed to optimize power consumption. Renewable power based IISL system utilizes maximum power by detecting position of sun and traffic on road. IISL controls illumination depending on traffic. In prototype, a display system was implemented to display important notices, calendar & weather data. System can be operated using Android OS based smart phones. Parameters and factors of power were calculated and simulated in HOMER.

• Energy-efficient Heterogeneous Wireless Sensor Network’s design and monitoring through intelligent hybrid energy supply in complex adaptive environments (Aim was designing a new Heterogeneous WSN protocol).
• Performance evaluation of Free Space Optics (FSO) communication in different climatic situations.
• Develop Cyclic Redundancy Check (CRC) encoder/decoder and study test methodology of error detection and recovery of communication networks.
• Advanced multi-carrier modulation-based equalization technique for MIMO power line communications using OFDM method.
• Modeling and control implementation studies on PID controlled actuator of process plant.
